Tamiya adds the Ford Focus RS WRC 03 to its XBG R/C car Series. The image of the Ford Focus RS has changed greatly in season 2003 with a more aggressive look. The car itself is longer providing more room for the layout of the rear wing design and front cooling system, which has lead to a more aerodynamic vehicle with better weight distribution. Weight savings have been made all over the vehicle from the engine to the body, making it 50kg lighter than in 2002. The rear wing has also increased in size to as close to regulation size as possible. The new car introduced in the fourth round of the WRC, gave driver M. Martin victory in the round 6 Acropolis Rally in June and the round 9 Rally Finland in August. The TGS chassis employs a resin monocoque frame with aluminium die-cast power train deck. The underside of the power train deck features air intake leading to engine fan for proper air diffusion. ACS (Active Cooling System) is effective in the prevention of engine over-heating. R/C electronics are encased in a special box for protection. The TGS chassis is equipped with a high-performance FS-12SS engine (2.11cc) that boasts superior air-intake and powerful running. The TGS chassis also features 4-wheel double wishbone suspension to realize excellent road-holding. Shaft driven 4WD affords high reliability. Front and rear gear cases are both high-precision and tightly shut for smooth-running differential gears. With the cutting-edge EXPEC wheel and trigger type transmitter provided, users can expect top control. Increase your speed with Item 53677 Tuned Gear Set for XBG.
