Tamiya follows up on its fantastic RC KV-I with this excellent full-operation kit of the monstrous Russian KV-II Gigant heavy tank! As with the other entries in this series, the model features full motion forwards and backwards, with a rotating turret, elevating and depressing main gun with recoil action, and of course the appropriate sounds to go with all that action (as well as muzzle flash lights for the main gun and hull machine gun)! The engine sounds were recorded from an actual 38.8-liter V12 diesel tank engine in a tank at Russia's Kubinka Tank Museum! Gun barrel is aluminium, and photo-etched metal grilles are included. The tracks are supplied as pre-assembled individual link assemblies, and the kit includes the transmitter and all the electronics and mechanical parts necessary for running. The suspension features sturdy die-cast metal parts for endurance and realism. The head and tail lights work, too! Nice to see another WWII Allied vehicle make it into Tamiya's Big Tank line-up! This is only the fourth Allied vehicle released, the first being the 105mm-gunned M4A3 Sherman, the M26 Pershing, then of course the previous KV-I. This is a "Full-Option Complete Kit," with everything you need to run your big KV-II except some batteries (requires eight R6/AA/UM3 batteries for transmitter; batteries sold separately). Other battery and charger is included! Assembly and painting are required.
All parts according to Tamiya Guide books, Tamiya manuals and Tamiya parts listings.
