Exactly 1 year after the first Group C Tamiya model, the sixth version is released. The Mazda 787B is possibly one of the most sought after Group C models and it's probably because of it's stunning looks and the original's heritage. The striking green/orange paint scheme, combined with the mythical sound of the original's Wankel motor makes a winner for Tamiya. On the negative side, the 787B possibly received the most boring rims of the entire Group C series, but I guess we can live with that. The body shell came in clear polycarbonate and painting the model is a challenge. So far in the series, the 787B is the first to receive green A-parts. The 787B model was reissued in 2006 (58357) and Tamiya did the good thing of supplying a pre-painted body this time.
