Getting paint off tyres 11 years 2 months ago #19047

I have a pair of very good Sand Blaster Jr's that have a little paint overspray on them (not by me!).

What's the best way to get it off without damaging the tyres? Is Graffiti Remover safe?
I suppose brake fluid would be because it must not damage rubber brake pipes

I think that with brake fluid your tires will become secotine.
You can test with 90° alcohol after malaxing tires.

I think I'd try a green scourer & soapy water first :)

Peanut butter and the natural oils will keep them smooth :woohoo:

Brake fluid will go for normal rubber, brake seals are a special type of rubber.
Like Jonny said, hot soapy water & a plastic pan scourer - the paint's unlikely to put up much of a fight. I usually use a fine stainless wire brush or a thumbnail
