Seems we're always talking about restoring cars... :)
But in this case the bottom of the box deserved a nice overhaul.
I've had it for over a year I think but since I'm more of a mech fan and customizer, I only now noticed there was an adress (actually two and a sticker) written on the box. And it looked like someone also abused it with tape...
Why on earth? Is what comes to mind first :

Adresses were photoshopped for privacy reasons...
But apparently the origin of the car is Belgium (after Japan of course)!

I had some thin but firm cardboard at home - white on one side but a colour on the other side that matched the box well.
Normally this stuff is used to put on the floor to protect it...
Construction workers left quite a bit earlier this year when my house got a new facade.
Turned out to be great stuff - apart from serving as a nice even background for taking pictures.

Anyway... after I cut it to size, I put "Bison Tix" glue on the white side :

Spread that out evenly with a brush, making sure I got the edges done well. Then let it dry a while before I attached it...

A moving box (full of stuff) turned out to be a good match for size so I put that inside to apply pressure :

Looks much better now! Smooth and solid as well...

Great tip.
And it looks like you got a good color match as well!

Thanks, got lucky on the colour matching. I was already googling for a good material when I realised I had this stuff! :cheer:

Additional bit of info - I let the glue dry first because otherwise the cardboard from the box would most likely soak it up.
The new sheet has a smooth and quite impervious surface but the box itself is rather porous of course...
Also the reason why I only glued one side.
Gonna have a look if any of the other boxes deserve this resto treatment.
