I have installed a new Chat system here that currently is in the testing phase.

Those of you who is logged in will (hopefully) have noticed a small window in the lower right corner, and a button in the top left corner saying "Chat Room"

How it works:

Friends:
In order to chat to anyone, you need to be "Friends" with this member.
You can add "Friends" (Connections) in a couple of ways:

• - On the Member Map click a marker (the member you want) and then click the "Add to Friend" icon
  
• - Click on a username anywhere, which will take you to the member's Profile. Click on the "Connections" button, and then "Request Connection"
  
• type a message in the popup, or just press "Submit"
• In both cases, the member you request to be friend must first approve the request.

Now that you have Friends, you can chat with them:

• In the lower right corner, you should see your Freinds which are online.
  
  
• - (if not, click the white square)
  
• Click on the Freinds name which you want to chat to
• Start typing in the lower box in the new window.(end with Enter)

These types of chats are private.


Then you have the Chat Room:

• The Chat Room is a common place for all to participate in the same Chat.
• You can open the Chat Room by clicking the "Chat Room" button in the top left corner.
  
• The new window will show who is in the Chat Rooom (if any)
• To type, click the lower box and starttyping, ending with "Enter"
• To close the Chat Room, just click the "Chat Room" button again
