I would say most of the expensive bit are missing, body shell, wheels and tyres, gear box, hubs, motor, prop shafts plus quite a few incidentals. So it can all start adding up.
So it really depends what they are asking for this. I wouldn't have thought you want to be spending more than £100 tops, especially if some of the parts are from the Clone. Maybe less in that case. It's not a bad basis for a build though. |

It's hard to tell from the pictures. I saw the Bruiser clnoes only in pictures. I noticed that on the clone the frame is painted or anodized (I doubt it's anodized considering the clone price) and this one if it was painted by the previous owner it seems to me very well done...maybe too well.
The leaf springs are in any case not the original ones, already because of the color (Bruisers and Mountaineers are black) and they have a brass rivet that holds them together. The axles seem to me to be the original ones but painted in black. The shocks are also the original ones in my opinion. The wheel hubs also look like the original ones. However, all the screws and bolts are not original. The value of the set, knowing that all the most wanted and therefore most expensive components are missing, I think that 100 USD is already a very good price. The only component that is quite difficult to find is the MSC resistor protection plate, but this alone does not justify the price and i did not mention the broken radio box. I hope this helps. Thank you everybody, item is sold at about 130 USD and honestly I'm not sure about it, it seems to me a mix of original and clone, seller says that chassis has been painted but I do not believe honestly... Bruiser chassis is new for me (seems very very expensive one!!) so I really do not know it but I see your very detailed replies! thank you!
Maybe I have to go down to 100 USD but I do not like so much a mix.... |
