Hello all, found this site when searching for a manual for the old Manta Ray that I have found in the loft and intend to get working.

Once I have it stripped and ready I shall start a project blog and will be asking for lots and lots of advice and input as I am a complete novice.

Hi - welcome to the forum!

The Manta Ray is a great car - especially the chassis and it's place in the Tamiya history.
I've done a lot of work and upgrades on this car lately and will soon build another one with a bunch of hop ups.
So if I could help you out with some info, I gladly will of course. Here's the thread so far :

The Manta Ray is a great car to have my mate has one which he hd put a very fast motor in which makes it almost fly

Thanks guys, I will be following all of the Manta Ray threads with a keen eye. I intend to make ours "fly" too although I think my son expects it to drive up trees for some reason!
