I tried, really I did - but I reached cliche overload within 5 minutes

I suspect to be watching a lot of sports - even the kind I'm normally not really interested in.
But I've been skipping the opening ceremonies all my life...
Although last night I tried. For about five seconds.

Then again... I have the rerun on right now.
Just saw some juveniles light the fire and sir Paul is currently singing.

I have to admit that I did hear that the bit with Mr Bean was quite good, so hunted that down on youtube ... It was quite funny I guess

Anyway, that does lead me on to my next point - I wonder what fee is payable everytime the theme from "Chariots of Fire" is played?

I've been listening to the coverage on BBC 5 Live and it seems to be be played after every medal ceremony ...

I suspect that the "legacy" that the games organisers have been going on about will actually be that Vangelis' tax bill on the royalties will rescue the Greek economy

Hardly any type of sports I haven't been watching...
