An all too familiar sight with 959's 11 years 4 months ago #16310

Another dismantle of a 959 sees another steering arm - part C2 broken!

Builder's always over tighten the ball connectors... so with years of dirt, mud, grease... these parts simply fall away when the ball connectors are unscrewed.

I wonder if there are any hop-up parts available for these?... as my fabrication skills don't extend to this level of repair.

You can't round the end off & use the next innermost hole?

Assuming the steering rods won't foul anything, it could be an improvement (it certainly is on the TA03F) as it'll give increased steering angle/reduce turning the turning circle ... of course, that could cause problems with driveshaft angles, there's not a lot of room on that chassis ...

Yes, by doing this, the steering arms will need to be shortened as well... not an issue of course, as there are 3 settings for the steering to be set up... never seen anyone set this up though, and same goes for the rear suspension... altering giving a harder ride for hard surfaces. :)
