Yes mr. E, I hope to get started at the sketch for the TF parts soon

Already dug out my 80's Crayon Advanced Drawing system.

This mr. E (not the one adressed earlier) is looking forward at least. Awesome-o. B)
Especially since I'll most likely be needing another set soon.
Still got a couple of those templates as well. 35 degrees angle for correct perspective, right? :silly:

Ha! I found my favorite again, I loved this pen, front button feed and a big eraser.

The main load is Pentel, that would fit the forum, made in Japan :cheer:

Ah, the days of PROPER drawing....
I spy some nice Rotring kit in there too (Think I've still got mine somewhere)

Got all excited about "Vintage CAD", was interested to see what you were using - I used to use "Concerto", a DOS-based drawing package from the late 80s/early 90s, & to this day it was far superior to AutoCAD, even running on an old 286 PC!

I'm not after anything splendific for the mount sketches, some scribbles on a scan of the manual would be fine, I just need accurate numbers for the important bits (eg where bearings fit etc)

Think I started with Autocad on DOS or WIN3.x, we did have somekind of mainframe CAD at our mechanical engineering college. (and a CNC lathe, now i wish to be at that school again  )

Did manage to get some sketching done. :)

1 rear gearbox mounts (2x)
2 front gearbox mounts (2x)
3 steering mount (2x)
4 J12 replacement (1x)
5 wing mount (2x)
6 front body mount (1x)
7 saddle pack battery post (4x)

as you can see I tried to keep them all in the same style

could be supplemented with the damper spacers.
will have a go at the measurements later this WE

Did you base #7 on an original part or did you measure generally and draw from that?
Really starting to like that saddle pack setup... B)

Btw, how about some custom stabilizer bits? :woohoo:

#7 is a bit of TF and a bit of TRF501

stabelizer would mean metalsheet work, that does not fit the program for the mount parts (thats all Lathe)

other thing I have in mind includes lasercutting (a rere motor mount for Willy M38 so a sportstuned might fit)
