As much as I despise selfies (even the word itself besides the 'look at me!' mentality), I think I'm gonna like this one a lot better.
Last night on the BBC I saw a 'mainstream' commercial drone that you can let itself lock on a target and it will then automatically shoot a video of that. Don't quite remember the brand they used but suspect this will become quite common soon. Would be incredible to make a video of your car with such a drone. |

Saw the same report... it was still very much at the vapourware stage - footage was of the "this is what it could look like if we get funding and if we can make it work" variety

HI!... We have a guy in our car group that has a 8 rotor drone worth thousands of dollars. He has a gimbal on it with a gopro mounted. Totally flies on GPS measurements. He can basically set where he wants it to go and it will take off, fly there and land all by itself. He brings it to the dragstrip and video`s our car group when were drag racing. Gives a overhead view. Pretty cool. Pretty soon the dam terrorists will get a hold of this technology and strap C4 to the dam things and start blowing stuff up................

That will most likely be a dirty bomb too.
Sounds great for the rest of course. I think next year they are going to allow commercial flights with drones in the States. Not so great either when you realise 400 of the military type have crashed this century so far. |
