Although it looks more like something Gerry Anderson imagined, Le Mille Pattes (The Centipede) is a 1972 Citroen DS based Michelin tyre test bed.

Note the 11 wheels & twin V8 engines :blink:

Nah - too many curves. I think it's possible, but first I'd have to build a vacforming rig (which I could do), and get really good at carving wood to make the bucks to form the curvy bits - that's the bit I can't see happening.

MICHELIN often used specials vehicles. They was bought by CITRÖEN.
The DS was used to make traveling(for the cinama) and often to make tow trucks.
