Good at reading handwriting? 7 years 9 months ago #39619

I need help reading the following text (on the image)
Particularly the two words indicated by the red arrows.
Some information to put it in perspective:
  • The text is from a danish church register
  • The text is from 1843
  • The words with the arrows should be the same word
  • The word is probably a place in Denmark (in 1843)
Yes, its genealogy...

Any help appreciated! :-)

Do you have a larger excerpt maybe? To compare some more letters...
Fourth letter is obviously the most unclear, I'm with "Oen.e" so far.
I reckon you found the Trampenbjerg results on Google.

Using a Calligraphy chart to me it reads "Onie"

You'd think the fourth (third?) letter is an i indeed but then again something similar to the second sample seems to also appear at the left top.

Second letter is possibly a c indeed but the e is also often written this way - "Jorgen" at the left top for example.
I think we're agreeing as much as to "O.n.e" in any case.
A bit more material for comparison would be nice, it's intriguing.

Solved :-)
I got some expert help from Denmark, some genealogist (is that what they er called?)
It's "Oence" and "Oense" on line two. Both meaning the same tiny place in Denmark (Vejle, Hatting, Ølsted,) :-)

Thank you guys!

(The genealogist could read the entire lines for me, how, I really don't understand.)
