Wondering if it is 100% the same as the one in the 80's. They are popping up everywere. For the last 2 years a am tying to find all the parts to make a Newbuild Toyota Celica Turbo. But might as well go for the 936 as it seams to be easier. Cheers. Feraz |

Yes, I noticed last week. Kind of took me by surprise
I would guess the body is more or less the same as the original one, but I do not know. Tamiya usually changes some minor details when reissuing bodysets. You know that the Toyota Celica LB bodyset was also reissued a couple of years ago? Now in white plastic and the chrome parts are no longer chrome, only white. -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

Pretty sure it didn't get announced - but it's thanks to the RM-01.
Edit - actually, it's kinda weird that there's no trace of it here : www.tamiya.com/.../news0.htm |

I think this is one of their "Event Special" releases, that do not get announced, but come as a surprise to those who visit Tamiya "events".

My guess would be it fits. Can't imagine they made a new mold...
And this is what Stella has to say about it :
No holes means you wouldn't have to do any mods if the mounting places are different... But some practical confirmation from someone would be great of course. |
