Hi all,Just thought i would post a few shots of my w.i.p holiday buggy,im not sure what medication Tamiya were on at the time when they decided to plonk the sand rover and holiday bodies on a DT-02 chassis but the wheel width looks ridiculous,so out of scale.Anyway this is my attempt so far at narrowing the front and rear for a more scale look,so far so good.Up front i have cut down the original lower arms, used threaded rod and ball joints to make an adjustable top arm and am still at the design stage of the shock mounts. The original shock towers have been cut down and will hopefully still be used.
At the rear i have used TL-01 lower arms, cut down the original top arms, used TT-01 dog bones and Brat/Frog axle shafts and rear dampers.Im waiting on parts to arrive before i can progress and will post further shots later. |

O.k,the rest of the parts arrived and i have finished the mods.Up front the dampers were mounted using Frog/Brat front lower shock mounts and at the top a square section of plastic was trimmed to fit inbetween the original cut down shock mounts,a triangular piece of metal was also fitted for renforcement. The front body mount fitted nicely on top of this and i also lowered the front of the body at the same time. The shocks are after market units i bought a whileback from Jazhobby i think, not too sure.
