I've never had to search for hop ups before for a vehicle and Im not sure where to begin yet again. I have a Midnight Pumpkin on the way and that is all set. I am moving onto The Frog re-release next.
Can anyone help me or link me to some hop ups? I am looking specifically for a new motor for it, some shocks and bearings set. You guys have been great in helping me so far, especially w/ getting my MP off the ground thank you! |

There seems to be a correlation between liking RC and cats.
Anywho - maybe a Tamiya Superstock for the motor? A Sport Tuned is always an affordable but good option too. If you get bearings in (relative) bulk, they're a lot cheaper. Most common are 5x11x4mm (Tamiya calls them 1150) and 5x8x2.5mm (850). If you search for these on eBay, you'll get a lot of hits. You'd need 8-10 of the first and 2 of the latter for the Frog. Rubber sealed are best wherever they will encounter dirt... One 'hop up' for the Frog - replace the stone hard rears springs with those from a Grasshopper. The shocks themselves are actually of quite good quality. |

I think you will have to check the manual, but you need 4 for the front wheel, 4 for the rear swing arms, two for the gearbox output shafts and two for the primary drive brass gear from memory.
I make that 12 in total. If money is tight then do the front wheels at a later date. The MB gearbox uses 850's for the primary drive gear, inside a plastic gear, not metal insert like the frog. |
