I know that it is not an amazing custom, but I know too that someones have a basic custom level like me.
Here is the first level,

-2 4mm white leds

-2 4mm red leds.

-all with 1000 ohms résistors

-1 standard switch

-1 9V cell.

The fixation is not definitive.

Next level: links lamps
thanks for looking

I connect to ESC or direct to drive accu. Saves the extra battery. But there has to be light (and a driver)

:) Thanks Waterbok but where do you connect the leds on the esc? I'm not sure about my capacities for the non destruction of te esc

several possibilities, add an extry JST connector to the battery plug, use a Y connector wire, or if your ESC has power on the throttle connector than you could use the free batterie slot on your receiver. depending on your setup, bec on the esc or receiver, you would have to use the approriate resistors.

best solution get an cheap 6 V bec and connect this dircetly to the batterie plug of the ESC and use the bec output for the LEDs that way you always have the same voltage out for your LED setup.

edit: noticed HK also has 3.3V bec that might be handy
