2013 Egress Street Tires 7 years 11 months ago #38470

Hi,

Looking for some advise on street tires (front and rear) for my Egress 2013.

I am planning to keep the original stock black wheels.

Please advise

Thanks

What's the difference between Dual Block Tires C and Dual Block Tires K?

And these will fit the Egress stock wheels?

Thanks

C is for Competition.
K is kit-standard.
Most likely the C type have a softer compound rubber, which will wear out quickly.

The C and K type tyre's would fit Egress rims, but would need to be glued ,

I always use C type tyre's on my runners but with DF-03 rims, they come in black and white and can be very cheap if sourced from Stella or banzai.

C Type tyres last a long time with street use, I use them on a brushless Egress and TF Evo

Will these fit on the stock wheels without having to use cement glue?

You wouldn't be able to run them without glue, even on the DF-03 rims.

If you have enough power those Tamiya slicks are lots of fun especially if you're going sideways. I really like Proline tires for èvérÿthîñg else that isn't a shelf queen. :y: B)

Inserts & gluing the tires are a must unless it's for the shelf. Invest in some decent rubber tire bands & glue with reusable applicator tips if you haven't already. No more messy run offs caused by using too much glue or broken bonds caused by things moving after the glue has been applied. :silly: :woohoo:
My other car is a Tamiya - bumper sticker on my van
