I have just bought a Tamiya Super Stock Motor. I run a Mtroniks AutoSport 20 Turn ESC. Will this electronic speed controller be fine with this motor. I understand sometimes the Super Stock motor can make an ESC cut out! What is the best pinion to use? I should add this will be going into my DT-02 chassis.

Your esc should handle that motor since it's 23turn.

To be on the safe side, test with the smallest pinion first and gear up if your esc cope fine 

Thanks for reply. I was hoping the Mtroniks AutoSport 20 Turn ESC would be o.k as upgraded this from the Tamiya one in kit.

What size pinion would you recommend for everyday use?

 

No too much choice on a dt02. 17 or 19 teeth.
