So it starts with the dismantling of the car....i am pleasantly surprised by all the nice features the Avante has! It truly was one of the best ones you could get at his time .

and finally done, lots of parts i might say, and only 2 minor cracks discovered that can be fixed easily

Awesome project, obviously envious.
It's always a great pleasure when a car arrives and it turns out to be in good shape.

After all parts had some nice cleaning done, time to polish up all the metal-parts....looking forward to it


Last night i had a date with some polish, metal parts and some cloth...some old fashioned hand work ahead


Result is quit nice although not all parts came out "brand"new as i hoped

Yep gets rid of all ugly stains on the Aluminium parts and the parts too.

Now the part begins i enjoy the most, the re build of it

First i put in my Mabuchi black motor while i think it fits rather good with the chassis.
The gearboxes and the rear diff.

Looks great nice work

Finished the car this morning. Still has it's old body and driver which are not so bad after all. Only the wing is really beaten up. Got the ordered new bodyset and decals, also the new wheels and tires arrived. Waiting for the new driver to finish it all

Btw i took it out for a drive together with my Durga. It is a very nice car to drive, faster than i thought and the ground clearance is just amazing!!!
