TOPIC:

Wild Willy LWB 11 years 3 months ago #17395

Hello,

Well actually this isn't a full restoration thread, i would rather describe it as a finishing project.
This WW was never run, i bought it like like this from the previous owner :

As you certainly already noticed, i'm missing a front light... If someone of you have such a part somewhere i'll be glad to buy it :woohoo: :woohoo:

I always told that as soon as i have enough time, i'd start stripping it off, paint the body (as it was unpainted but delivered with original decals and manual) and apply the deacals.
Time arrived for this fantastic car to get a decent body and bring Willy to life :P

Stripped the body and painted it in olive...(hmm need to check again what color i used  )

Excellent project!
I like it when they end as "new out of the box" :-)

Nice Willy, but try give him a larger colored iris with a black pupil in the center, it makes all the difference in my opinion.

Got to admit I didn't pick up on that - but there is a lot of eyeball there, you can potentially got a lot bigger :)

I did look have a hunt round for headlights, but no joy :(

Nice Wild Willy, + 1 on the eyes, he looks like he's about to drive off a cliff and even his irises have constricted :) lol Andy....
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

Been racking my brain trying to remember where I got the headlights from for mine... I think they must have come on a re-re body parts sprue.

I see Jonny got stuck straight in with the Willy-smut already...

Hi Lars,
Thanks for the advice. I will give him a larger iris and then include an iris!
Thanks again
