Another model that had been under restoration for a long time.
I found it on a local ad site with its box, original manual and lots of spare parts.

 Here's how I received it

A few pictures without the body

As you can see, this restoration will be really easy, as almost nothing is broken.
The rear bumper isn't even broken, which is quite surprising.
The front wheels are not original and will be replaced by the original ones...
The typical Super Champ MSC is even there
The bodywork is in superb condition, with only a few tiny scratches visible. I'm tempted to leave it as it is, or simply apply a few coats of clear lacquer.

I started looking for front and rear wheels, as the original ones were painted grey. I made an attempt to remove the paint, but apparently the paint is holding up well.

So I found a set of complete new vintage rims. For the tires, however, I turned to re-re because I couldn't find any vintage ones.
So I started dismantling and cleaning.
As I wasn't satisfied with cleaning the metal parts, I sandblasted them.
The result exceeded all my expectations.

Here the parts before sandblasting :

After sandblasting

In the meantime I've started to dismantle and clean the MSC

Once everything was finished, I started assembling the transmission. As usual, I installed the bearings.

Now with the suspension

and putting the front suspension together

Installed the servos and MSC

I’m very happy to see you building this after you helped me out with my Super Champ Manu.
The sand blasting really transforms parts.

Started lettering the new tires i got

As I said, the new tires and rims are re-re because I couldn't find the original ones. I'll see if one day I'll replace them with vintage ones.

The bodywork is in great condition and, frankly, I don't think it needs to be redone. I just hesitate to apply one or two coats of lacquer...

For now, here it is

Thanks for looking
