Why do I do Tamiya, mainly because, this time of the year, I have to stay inside to get away from pollen, haa tschii.

So on with the Evo, I am going freestyle with the pics, if you want sleek go for the nice thread on TC. :P

Sorted out the parts and butchered the donor.



some burned balls and rings of fire.


Those got replaced and the diffs screwed together. (No Edou bearing upgrade still original)


Next in line the HiCaps and the gearboxes


All originals, titanium screws, tamiya bearings, driveshafts yummy. :kiss:


I will get the original Tamiya aluminium motor mount out my hopped up Manta Ray and will put this in the Evo together with the Dynatech.

So my donor came first and is doing much better now, I promised it a new chassistub and a front shock tower. B)

I replaced all bearings, gone keep the original ones aside, they r still smooth and have Tamiya printed on the seals. (guess they didnt put stainless + ceramic in the EVO)

Front with one way

Maybe when I have finished the original rebuild I will get carbon front and rear shock towers from Fibre-Lyte.

New tires and some paint (PS23) are on its way, need to replace a couple of the titanium screws. And a new undercowl would be nice but here it is.
