Re: 58107 Top-Force Evolution, restore, rebuild 11 years 11 months ago #9813

Got mail today.

Paint, battery plates, new set of wheels and some Hop-ups for the Evo.

as the undercowl is damaged and its a pain to place the electronics between these two glass thingy plates I will replace these for a cool looking Manta Ray tub. :woohoo: 'just kidding. ' <- Edou its here

Replaced the ugly red front uprights for black ones and ordered some spares

To paint or not to paint that is the question?

You're welcome, I've got a spare rotor (6513w) on its way and already have a set of spare brushes, now have to find a fitting ESC.
I tried both CPR units that came with the Evo but think they are not quit right any more.

btw. did anyone notice the difference in the Evo ball diff Hard Joint Cups compared to the newer ones?

I don't know, it's kind of got a "cutaway" thing going on there ...

I'd paint! Or get a TBG body for running it...
If you know how (or where) to make your own decal sheet, I could help you out there.
What's with the diff cups?

Yep was thinking about the TBG body + undercowl, only place to order seems the bay correct.

Helping out would be nice ;)

Ha got you, curious whats with the diff cups eh! well have a look, but I think it is only visible when you compare the diff cups that come with the aluminium diff plates to the standard 53217.

I'm not sure the undercowl will fit the bathtub but it can't hurt to have one. Cheaper on shipment too if you combine. :side:

Love this build btw but that's an obvious statement.
