HI!... Well I picked this car up today for $40. I posted some pics of it over at RC10TALK.COM. The guys over there are really good a figuring parts/cars out. So apparently this is a ASCOT Challenger kit. Basically it's a Ascot roll cage and G10 chassis. Everything else is off a RC-10. So mine has the following :
- Ascot roll cage, chassis and headers. - McCallister "Gambler" Sprint body/wing. - 6 gear trans. - Black RC-10 nose plate. - Front bulkhead is RPM. - Front arms are RPM Truck conversion arms. - rc-10 Worlds rear arms. - Red Wheels are from a Kyosho Sideways. - Tires are MRC. - Motor is a Trinity Speed Gems(12T). - Tekin TRC 411P ESC. - Futaba S3003 servo. - RPM rear axle hubs. - RC-10 hard anodized front shocks on all 4 wheels. I've already contacted McCallister and they still make the "Gambler' body and wing. So I'll be ordering that soon. Think I'm going to run the Phoenix billet aluminum wheels I just got. Thinking all white body with bright orange accents to go with my vintage Parma "Hardee's" decal set. Might go a bright orange powder coat on the roll bar and front nose plate. I have some white RPM front/rear control arms I'll probably use. Debating if I'm going to run a 6 gear or a Stealth trans. I need to finish off a few more projects before digging into this one. Probably start collecting parts soon. |

Nice score, especially if you're into RC10s
I bought something very similar on a whim, restored/customised it, lost interest very quickly, made it look a bit less extreme & sold it on having never driven it I think I still have some pics if you're interested. |
