Hi there jay d, welcome here at TB. You do get a polycarbonate paint remover from Tamiya $$$. I have used nitro fuel in the past with good results and no damage. I brush the fuel onto the painted areas, when the paint softens a soft cloth is used to wipe the paint off. It may want you to repeat the process a couple of times depending on paint thickness. Remember not to try any form of sanding, scraping or scouring as this will certainly leave the shell dull and damaged. Decals ..... the Bay i would say.
Good luck with the restoration! post some photos.

Welcome, jay d! :)
Full throttle's right - eBay may be the place where your decals pop up.
You could save a search there (and get updated) on Tamiya 9495269.
Looks like they do appear now and then. Not sure when this one ended :

You could use another shell of course, especially if you want to drive it.
Many 1/10 touring car bodies will fit your TL-01 chassis.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

I hate that you could get a complete kit for less than a replacement body kit

One picture on eBay is a pretty big gamble though...
Why didn't my search find that body set today?
Seems more logical than just the decals in any case.

Old or classic? ;)
How about a 1970 Cuda shell by Parma ...

B)

But since you're in the UK, Kamtech have quite a few American classics.
Some even specifically mentioned to be for a TL-01.
Like this Charger for example.

:woohoo:

Unless you meant differently of course.

Edit - changed the link to the Charger to the lexan version...
