Filling out holes in a ABS body 10 years 7 months ago #24838

Hi Guys,

Being new here i want to show you some tips & tricks, mainly cause i've seen Jonny Retro's topic about weathering, some simple things i can add to make life easier.

First tip i got for you guys is a simple one, filling out the holes in a ABS or styreen body, it's easy and quick.

For example a blackfoot body which will be used as a scalerbody, take a bit of sprue just a bit thicker than the hole you have to fill out, taper it with sandpaper than with cyano glue press it firmly in the hole, use the glue liberal, it also works as a filler:

After drying cut them down with pliers followed with a bit off sanding and done:

Hope it's usefull, if done in the correct way you don't need any filler.

Cheers Rick

I was meaning to ask... do you also cut and sand it on the inside of the shell or do you leave a bit of sprue there?
