Well the sun is shineing,the weather is sweet.well sweet enough...

sooo i thought why not i will have a go at painting my sons body shell for his bluemerang

this is my first ever attempt at a bodyshell,i think it came out grand.i used the tips and advice from you guys and well heres the results..... :y:














its not perfect by a long shot but im proper happy with it :cheer:

its not quite finished yet,i just need to add some window netting and a front windscreen out of some spare polycarbonate

some sort of tamiya sticker and then my son can do the rest,probably a ton of moshi monster stickers knowing him ;)

the things we do for our kids eh :y:

would the white reflect the colour back through the poly and stop it being so transparent?

Absolutely yes.

With the white the body color will be brighter and the body less trasparent.
After the white you can use again the blue or the black to have a darker interior of the body if you don't like it white.
Make an experiment on a spare piece of the body trimmed away and check it before do it on the body itself.
