TOPIC:

Some may have seen the Zakspeed Capri I'm doing right now.

The manual call for PS-1 White as the main color, but that's a bit dull me thinks.

I was thinking of painting it white pearl.

Should I:

#1 Paint the body first with clear pearl PS-58 and then PS-1 White, or

#2 Paint the body with PS-57 White Pearl?

What gives the most even pearl effect?
My LHS has all those colors in stock.

I don't think I'd bother with the pearl clear when there's already a premixed pearl white - it doubles the expense, and more importantly, doubles the probability of something going wrong

On the other hand the clear pearl could be used on other projects as well.
But think I will go for your advice

Would using clear pearl than white give a bit more depth instead of using white pearl and back it all up with silver?

That was my thinking too, as you can put on as many coats you want to get the right pearl effect.
