I see a lot of ebay sellers are using this phrase to avoid returns from unhappy customers.

Due to the nature of this hobby, all sales are FINAL!

What "nature" are they reffering to??

sounds like they have something to hide think i would steer well clear of any ad with this in it?

I think some Rc fans might be quite impulsive at buying new gear.
And then maybe regret later what they bought or realize what they actually paid for it.

So it's more the nature of these buyers than that of the hobby.

eBay is becoming a weird place sometimes where auction prices get a bit out of hand.
A few weeks ago I saw a bashed Humvee (awfully painted red) go for more than 150 euro.
This buyer could have some regrets when he got the car delivered...
Especially if he did some research in the meantime.

Have to admit myself some used stuff I bought wasn't in the shape I expected but never anticipated returning anything because I never pay extreme amounts on the basis of pictures.

Not talking about my wundersch

you've also got the losers who think they can receive the parcel,
run the car until its broken then demand a full refund
claiming its broken when they got it...
