Took off the upperdeck and removed the servo to fit the new parts :

Another nice hop up. Also put on some new silver aluminium wheel nuts :

Don't need the spacers for the servo stay so they'll come in handy in the future.
And I'll definitely give the lower deck another treatment - just don't think it has enough black depthness yet. :pinch:
But I'm gonna drive it first...

Thanks buddy, earlier this week I was working on the hop up list and couldn't help thinking that looked quite bizarre...
And there's still some ideas floating around that I want to do with it - in due time though.

I could contemplate on further changes... (full) carbon chassis, more aluminium parts, titanium screws and the list goes on.
Considering the basic 59 pieces of 3x10mm screws, titanium would also be a nice money pit.
It'll get a lot lighter though! But it's crazy enough as it is... for now.

I don't think I would choose alloy suspension arms since I would like to be able to drive the car.
Plastic - and it's flexibility are more suitable for that I think.

There will still be some improvements in the near future though...

Had a look at all the 1/8 wings on the Bay. Leading to the conclusion that I will go for the Pro-line wing :

It comes in black with separate decals so I'll be able to easily give it a custom look.
And it's not a competitive brand to Tamiya which is an unavoidable criterium for me...
Other than that I like the fact that the wheels and wing will be from the same source.
But it's also just the best looking one in my opinion and I suspect it to be highly effective. :cheer:

I have also caught the idea to do this car all silver and get rid of any blue details.
Most parts are already silver but I'll need to get some titanium tunbuckles for the steering and replace a few ball ends.
The servo horn doesn't come in the desired colour so I think I'll try to take off the eloxated layer.
Any good ideas on what the best approach for this may be are very welcome!
I was thinking of diluted bleech myself...

It'll be pretty oversized for a DF-01 so it might be a bit much for a Hornet. But you don't know until you try of course. :silly:
Here's an eBay overview so a comparison can be made - there's some similar wings in the UK too :

1/8 wings

And a list of the smaller options :

1/10 wings

:woohoo:
