thx yep are HBX parts , unfortunatly the 'TL-01' C-hubs, steering knuckles and rear hubs appear to be HBX too , compared them with some Willy conversion parts I got and the material is more shiny and the moulding seems different. Still happy with what I bought though.

I never got as far as comparing my HBX steering parts with the TL ones - will they fit? The HBX plastic is a bit more brittle than Tamiya (Not as bad as other chinese stuff though). Certainly all the gearbox bits fit TL, the only thing that was different was HBX fit a special size brass bearing at either end of the front-back propshaft, which can't be replaced with 1150s without a bit of modding

the hbx parts I got are 99% identical with the tl-01 but the seams from the molds are on different spots and the plastic looks slightly different, the X on the C-hub is the most obvious, its smaller

Did Sinterklaas drop it off in your shoe or did he leave it in a sack by the door?
You must have been a good boy at least... Probably no spanking with the bundle of wood for you. Nice parts spotting, eddrick! Wb, do I see a multi-piece spur there? Got one with a Manta Ray lot at some point and have been wondering about that ever since... |

just took that diff apart.
Did HBX make TA01 gearsets? the screws and the diff gears/starshaft are indeed HBX, the plastic gears are mr. T's, just compared them with another set. |

From what I've seen, HBX & Tamiya gear bits are interchangeable, HBX being cheaper so it wouldn't surprise me to see HBX guts in a Tamiya diff (Or vice-versa) in a second hand car
