I pickup this Kingsley valve (tube) radiogram , made back in about 1963 , and have spent some time cleaning her up.

I do have her playing , but can't get the video up here.

Also found a PYE Black Box solid state Stereophone - and have been spending time cleaning that up.

This one is a few years later than the Kingsley , probably from 1967 , and is ALL transistors.

Started on the Kyosho Mid while I wait for some parts for the DT 4 build.

Trimmed and painted the body today, so that the painful bit is done ..

I've gone for PS -57 pearl white on the body and the wing .
Yes, I know I've painted the windows , but I won't be fitting a driver - I'll pop on the dark tinted window stickers , so all good.

Started on the Big Wig body . Cut it out , so now ready to clean up the edges , wash, mask and paint .

Get it over with now , and then build the chassis.

So I now have the BigWig, a Kyosho Mid and a yellow chassis TD-4 to build.

Spent a few hours at the track with Bailey today We took 6 cars to run, Maxxum + FXT + Fire Dragon + Vanquish + BBX and T6. Bailey ran the BBX, Fire Dragon and FXT, he did really good with the BBX so I think he will just run 2wd buggy for the time being I broke a steering nuckle on the Vanquish (have ordered alloy replacemnts ) Stripped the already worn spur gear on the Maxxum (have ordered a replacement ) Did the best with the T6 and managed some good consistent lap times

Blimey, Bailey is shooting up fast !!!!!!
Pure concentration on his face, good work.
How’s the BBX I’m considering getting one if Tamiya don’t bring out anything decent this year.
cheers.

I like the BBX, and easy car to drive and very agile. I just added more front spring tension than the manual suggest to stop it pitching in and lift the opposite rear wheel. I also added a slipper clutch for obvious reasons with a 21.5 brushless. I just dropped the endpoint today to slow it down for Bailey 😊

Building my Big Wig

Quirky build for a Tamiya buggy , in a minor way it reminds me of  the Nichimo I built a while ago.
