I need somewhere to place the electronics, maybe shortening it will be better

Continued on with the upper deck tonight :) Gave it a trim and added some go fast holes, I think it looks much better :y: I'm still undecided on it's finish, I want to do something other than polished though  any suggestions?

You've gone in a, well , let's say "unexpected" direction there ... I think making in longer & bending/curling the front edge to match the bumper might have looked better, holes too, like a smaller number of larger ones (a la old Tamiya pressed alloy chassis). As it is, it looks a bit ... cheese grater-ish :S ;)

How about a "machine turned" finish like we used to do in metalwork at school?

We used to put a piece of wooden dowel in a pillar drill and bring it down on the surface of the metal, moving the metal a bit between each one. Can't remember if we used any grinding paste or similar though.
