You should use a carbon fiber plate. Aluminum is no good, it doesn't fix with the plastic and the glue and it bends...

Actually, it bonds very well so the bendiness of the alloy is of lesser importance. The weld gives combined strength...
I took the screws out and put strain on it all. For sure it will break behind the shock mounts now in case of impact.

The new nose is starting to look how it should - and the two stars have been spared :

Going for a Foosian approach on the shell. Smooth...
Places where the lamps usually go have been flattened and the bit that's sticking out for the MSC servo will go as well :

Frog tape to get a flat service :

Fiber glass on top :

Epoxy filler as a first layer on the outside :

Inside the fiber glass was sanded and covered with epoxy to further smoothen the surface :

Much more filling and sanding to go...

So what scheme are you planning on doing? Box art or something of your own design ;)
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

Got a nice new 23T Lrp motor waiting for it. :cheer:
Should be a little faster than a Sport Tuned (20.500 rpm)...

Gonna go for carbon knuckles (F103), a high torque servo saver and an upgraded steering linkage.
Frog shocks on the rear, 12mm hex adapters and a new DT-02 wheel set as well.
Super Hornet suspension arms and oil dampers for the front...
One smooth red and black Racing Hopper.
