Some more progress. Had some trouble with the wheels, my own stupid misstake . After sanding and stripping the wheels, i painted them with 2 layers of primer and 2 layers of chrome paint, as i always do.
The chrome paintcan clearly states; " DON'T overspray with clear coating"!!! Stubbern as i am i just had to try....but did i just try it on 1 wheel?? Nooo i just had to do all 4 at the same time.... Result; chaos and a big mess...all 4 wheels are looking horrible!! Took me 2 days to get it all off again Anyways lesson learned (i hope ) Fitted wheels and driver on chassis. Working on body now. I'm the same - you have to try these things out Are you going to treat the car to a new battery connector & motor connector insulation? They're letting the rest of the car down IMHO |

Not sure yet if i will replace the motor connecter insulation and battery connector. Am trying to keep it as original as possible.
But body is a TBG repro (and i might say a really bad one ) Bought some repro's before there but this one is not worth the 24,99 dollar i paid for it. So i might replace them. Cheers, Bram Restoring Countach 58005

The lining on mine was terrible and hardly visible at some points, this is not so much a problem while you can mark with perma marker on the protec film and just cut along that. More i disliked the fact that the lexan at some points was very thin! As you will see when my body is finished, it cracked at the rear end. So i had to make it a straight cut instead of the s - shape it supposed to be
Got away with it i think but everytime i look at it, i see the defect. Cheers, Bram Restoring Countach 58005

That's a good looking Fox
What blue did you use? It looks a little more blue than the usual Tamiya blue... The more I look at these cars, the more I think the wing area is very clumsy looking - it's a little too small, and _way_ too far forward |
