So what's the plan? polish all the alloy, resto the wheels and keep the body original for a nice contrast :y:

As there are so many beautiful restored SS around, and hardly no original ones left. This one i am going to keep as close to original as i can get. So no polishing parts when not needed. Only thing rere i am going to use is the exhaustpipe (until i find a original one) and still looking for right mirror and wipers ofc :)

Looking good :y: :)

TBH my preference is to polish the brass, burnish the Mazak & polish/sand the aluminium bits as appropriate (so everything looks as factory fresh as possible), but keeping the patina so you have a car, though very clean & tidy, shows 30 years worth of age is equally valid - and not often done :y:

I don't think I've ever had a car good enough to start with to have the choice though  ;)

Looking very nice :y: What is your method for doing the raised letters in these tyres?

Hi Andy,

I used to do the lettering with a small nail and dip it into the white paint, which was good to do and good result. But then i got lazy and bought a white paint marker with a very small tip, very fast and easy you do tires in just 2 min or so :) . And result is the same.
