I wish the suspension on my 3 speeds was half as good as that one in the video.

I plan on building a Blazer clone now, Not bothered about the 3 speed, just 4wd, that shell and the slotted wheels.

I think they moved a little way out out of Windsor and are possibly called Mantau models Dedworth Rd, but it seems to be mostly boats now.
I keep meaning to pay them a visit as I’m not too far away. I just don’t need a boat.

 

The 2nd batch are appearing again on UK model shop site and eBay, around the 255 to 260 GBP mark.

I didn't lose _all_ my enthusiasm at the prepainted body, no choice in the fake sponsor decals or positions, or the price - but the 6 month wait has taken care of the rest

Well, I finally ran the Wild One on a track last week-end. Maybe I should have run it before the Turbo Scorpion rather than after : the Scorpion is so much better on the track. That confirms exactly the overall purpose of the Wild one (at least for me) : a perfect beach car, not a track car (and yeah, agree with you Jonny on the pre painted body and the fake sponsors, but I would add as well toyish yellow search lights )
