Couple bodies showed up today. There would have been three, but I received someone's 58385 kit (Tamiya BMW 320si WTCC 2006) instead of my Celica Gr.5 body! Seller insists it was the fault of Australia post mislabeling, and by coincidence the other guy is in PA which is about an hour away from me! His (my?) package has not been delivered yet, so we wait to see what can be done...

Awesome to see! I saw the CCP ad plenty of times as I was a suscriber of RCCA from 88' and onwards. They simply bougth stock Tamiya parts and chrome plated them. On my wish list was a fully chromed Lunchbox and Clod as I did own both in the early 90s. But it never happend. I also want to build a fully white Lunchbox as in Blue Edition like Todd's, but the white parts is hard to come by last time I looked. |

A very nice Big Bear arrived today...
Even though it doesn't have proper tires, its state is great. I'm not even sure it has ever been run... The rims are with the car, as well as 3 tires, but they are not really in good state... Not sure yet how I'll manage the tire issue (I may very well have to print a few tires) I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them

I didn’t mind having to get out of bed this morning to answer the door to the postman when he was delivering this. The box might not be 100%, but it must be nearly 40 years old. The contents look like they rolled out of the Tamiya factory yesterday. Absolutely immaculate. I know I said I wasn’t going to do it, but a few more bits to complete the chassis and I’d have 9 of the first 10 Tamiya cars. And up on the top of the book case with the other vintage body sets. All to be used one day. Attachments: |

Cheers Jim, I find the vintage stuff doesn’t seem to be as desirable these days. No idea if that’s correct, but I feel people have moved on a bit.
Personally I prefer the older models. I think I’m reliving my youth. I do like some of the new models like the Fiat 131 and that new Opel Kadett.

Awesome find Al! The ligier is one of the 3 f1 I kept. And had pleasure to clean and "restore" .

Nice one Flo.
I did my usual thing of buying up parts for a restoration and then realising I wasn’t far off a second chassis. Another in the collection I hadn’t planned on. 😂😂
