Looking on the data base. They did the Road Wizard which just seems to be a made up thing ??
Apologies if I'm wrong and then Tamiya seemed to do 2 or 3 real versions.

I'm just intrigued.

Yes, Al, model number 58053 called the Road Wizard is a "no brand" model. (made up)
I don't know why Tamiya chose to make one like that, but the decals supplied with the kit could be used to make the three different looking bodies, using the same shell; the Road Wizard (red/white/blue)
the "Williams Honda"
the "J.P.S. Lotus".

The Williams and Lotus would then not be accurate to the original because of the generic Road Wizard shell.
As you know, Tamiya has other models (58069 and 58068) which have more correct bodies for both the Williams and Lotus.

Yes me to. Reinforcing plate is bigger and the shock a yellow cva on the lotus. Nor msc....

Hi Lars, thanks for the info. I did wonder if it's a generic shell how the Honda and Lotus could be accurate.
That doesn't sound like a Tamiya thing to do.
