Okay I'll say it...come on Tamiya...something closer to the original would be awesome!
like the XR311. OR the CHEETAH kit#07. This is just...boring?! Now if they wanna do something out of the ordinary; lets see them re-issue the B2B class [1978 championship winning] kit#17 SIDECAR! |

I have to say I agree.. this Sand Rover is....boring.
It's just too easy, Tamiya are now making separate models where anyone just modded their RC with, for instance, road wheels instead of offroad wheels. -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

grrr YOU stole MY idea...a Honda turbo city wheeler body on this! hahahahaha
Nah, I've have had a re-vision on the SAND ROVER streeter.... several of my OLD friends and I, have started thinking on this car. yeh I hate to say it, I'm OLD too! I think this might be kool as a 1970's American TV cartoon replica of 'SPEED BUGGY''! OMG, how did Tamiya know...?!! hahaahahaha I was like 6yrs old and got up every Saturday morning to watch cartoons, it was my FAVORITE cartoon show! lol LARS is 100% correct! I mentioned this in trying to make my point about them reissuing old cars. Tamiya brings back a old kit but with a new chassis' or whatever...it does kill the originals high collector prices. Example; the Tamiya SRB buggies out now. But that is also a good thing, lots of new guys can now buy a car to play with or race. Just like we all did 'back in the days'. Lets just hope Tamiya does'nt go too far in making too many TOY types. Or just putting a good body on a crappy toy-ish chassis. They did almost kill themselves off in the R/C car field. In the mid-late-1980's they brought out too many ODD or toy like r/c cars. IE; You could buy Tamiya cars at; 'TOYS R US' toy store chain in the USA in the late 1980s'! It speaks for its self! |

OOPS I forgot...
I WOULD have to put a WILD WILLY driver figure at the wheel of my 'SPEED BUGGY' replica! Maybe that would of made this a great idea with Tamiya doing it?!? And I have to add a crazy hott motor combo. maybe I'll just crash it into a tree! hahhahaaha the DEATH of the SAND ROVER! |
