Is that a brand new motor? Mabuchi or Johnson?

It's the best one I had that matched what came out (which was falling apart), though I was tempted to use the period NIP white endbell motor that came spare with the car ... it's a black endbell Mabuchi, not sure if there is a technical term for it, but it's the one that fits the Wild Willy M38/Willy's Wheeler :)

My friend and I change the timing on those motors. You move the magnets back slightly, and to revs a bit higher...

I painted the roof in satin black ... then decided it was still too shiny so went over it with matt black

Also glue on/in all the extra bits on the front ...

... and rear:

... LEDs are held in the holders with hot melt glue:

... as are the holders in the car:

Wiring will get finished later...

Apart from connecting up the LEDs, sorting the suspension that's sticking slightly on one corner, a final polishing when everything is properly cured, and evening up the torsion bar pre-tension, it's all done ... which means time for .... THE COLOUR!!

I wasn't joking about the mushy peas :D

Weight has gone up from 1.970 kg to 2.024 kg ...

Thanks for all the interest everyone has shown in this project :)

Never say never, but something pretty miraculous would have to happen to the suspension before I'd want to try it ...
