The thing is that I don't know when I can access this box. And I'm still able to locate the box right now. My wife is a specialist when hiding parcels before Xmas, and I'm just afraid she succeed to hide it before I can check the gears (she did that with 2 other kits few months ago - another for me and one for my son - I may have to shuffle back all the boxes in the attic to find out where the kits are :-D)...
I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them :-)

I don't think there's any reason to think it wouldn't be the same 15 & 18T, 0.8mod pinions as found in every version of the FAV & Wild One before? The vintage manuals listed the gear ratios for those as 1:9 and 1:7.5 respectively.  I'm not going to count the teeth on the spur & diff for you ;)

I couldn't find a download for the Blockhead Motors version manual, but the info on Tamiyablog (tamiyablog.com/...ad-motors/) says the ratios are 1: 7.54 & 1: 9.05, which sounds like Tamiya's abacus gained a decimal place this time ;)

Perfect, Thanks Jonny... I just did not searched the right place. I did not find it anywhere in the manual next to the pinions (downloaded the one from the re-released Wild One).

It looks like a 13.5T should work well with the 18T pinion. In terms of temp it should be fine as my Turbo Scorpion have a gearing close to ratio closer to 1:7 and I do not have any temp issues with it and a 13.5T motor...

Pardon me for being a total noob to Tamiya esc's, but How do I tell what esc I have with the kits I got? They are in there but I haven't a clue what they are.
Regards

You know Flo, you nay have inspired me to get a static glue model going. I guess one downside of RC for me is I never looked back at a model kit once I started my first RC kit back in '83.

Def gonna have to blow the dust off something and spread it out..........  Wonder if my old glue is still any good LOL

My dad built the kyosho nostalgic series pure ten gt40. And now I build the static one. I love the static models to. Dioramas and legend models are too nice to and often cheaper than rc. And the avantage, they are smaller....
