I bought these shelves from Ikea ages ago. Any way today they went up. The plan is to have finished cars on here. But as that may be a while off, it’s the ones that were dotted around the office on top of book cases and generally tucked away. At least they look better now. It’s not particularly clear, but on the book shelf at the far end I’ve put boxes of screws, boxes of assorted radio gear and general stuff. It used to all sit on my drawing board where I would build the cars. So it’s a bit of a de-clutter. I think my wife would like to see the drawing board go. It’s A0 sized so a bit of a beast. But it’s going nowhere, you just can’t buy these things anymore, not as solid as this one. I’ve been condensing some of my boxes in the garage as well. So I guess I’m using any free time at the minute to have an RC tidy and get organised. Then maybe I can focus on finishing off some projects. I hope everyone is in a good place right now. All the best, Al Attachments: |

I don't think the shelf is the problem, it's how it's fixed to the wall - no triangulation, very little load spreading, plus what sort of wall is it, and what sort of fasteners? There's a lot of difference between crappy rawl plugs into plaster and good ones into masonry.... TBH it all looks a bit ornamental rather than practical
