You could try looking for "3D" or "textured" self adhesive carbon fibre vinyl on ebay, e.g. # 190662785894

It's often better to go with the more expensive/well-known brands for self-adhesive carbon fibre vinyl, a lot of the cheaper stuff just looks "wrong".
Also, watch that you get vinyl sticky & not proper carbon fibre sheet with a sticky backing - the stickied carbon fibre won't bend well or stay stuck to the contours of the body

Hmmm, I've been looking at my RR bodyshell and realised it will need quite a lot of hacking to make it fit over the front suspension. Seeing as the body is original and in reasonable condition, I am now thinking about using that on my "Sunday Best" chassis and putting a Beetle (Monster Beetle/Scorcher/Kamtec Baja) shell on this one.
The only problem with this is that it mucks up the witty moniker that I gave this project. I'd have to rename it "Sandpatch" or similar which sounds like something kids play in...
