Ah, Edou. I saw a rear ta01 gearbox which was drilled through and using a nut on a screw instead of those tapping screws.


I drilled out that hole so there'll be no more lateral pressure on it (even though I used epoxy to fix it).
And go ahead with your machine screw and nut idea...

Thanks, quite happy with the J-B Weld though. Worked well on the body shell too. :)
And I'm gonna have enough of it for a while...

Made some serious progress! Rewired the CR-Tuned and ran in the brushes (no water this time) - among other things.
A dry run like this is actually stated in the leaflet that came with the motor :



Nevermind the unsophisticated setup. Result was excellent. :y:

Making sure the motor is tightly fitted to the gearbox...
On the left funkindemup's suggestion - a machine screw and lock nut instead of a self tapping screw :



And of course the Mark II bracket, now with washer en spacer :



Rear gearbox restored and reassembled (modded and hopped up to the max). :cheer:
