Ah yes, but they're from the Cayenne tree. Although not used on that car I think. Not quite sure what's gonna work well. Finish the crossmembers for the body posts first to get a better idea. Height adjustable shell for different conditions would be great. And wheel sizes for that matter... Fitting that shell's gonna be somewhat of a challenge. For the front wheels. Repaired the small cracks nicely in the meantime btw. Solid again. |

Also black? I think your fav songs are back in black and paint it black?
Btw. n1 chassis! How did you calculate correct gear ratio at those big wheels?

Matt black is great but for this one it's just the basis.
Not sure for the rest yet, maybe some gunmetal camo will be nice. Box art clashes with all the blue parts in any case... Gonna make it a runner first though (which it basically is already)!
I kinda didn't. It's simply the setup with the most torque I could think of... Linear deriving shows that 21T and 87mm tyres compared to 16T and 115mm tyres have about the same factor though. So if anything, I'm making up for the wheels with the smaller pinion. And then there's the motor that's meant for this sort of thing. Now let's hope nothing else breaks. |

Thing is, what's stated about the CR-Tuned motor is gear ratio 32.4~50.6.
Which is basically what you can do with the CR-01 gears... Other than that, I think that spec is irrelevant because the motor is basically a rebuildable (35T) silvercan with more torque. And for that motor on this chassis 6.7:1 is recommended : A CR-Tuned should be able to handle lower ratios than that... So I should be good on not overextending the motor at 11.27:1. Probably just a quick torquey runs to top speed (compared to a CR-01). Hopefully the zero degrees timing will make this controllable enough... Dunno, going more on instinct than fact on this one.

The motors on that table are not in the correct categories for buggy wheel size btw...
Their ratios should be multiplied by 87/62 (= 1.4) - buggy size versus touring car size. Never realised that until now. |

Similar ideas! I was thinking in the direction of gunmetal-black camo though...
Like a midnight camo, without the white accents. Dunno what colour to replace that with yet though. I'm planning on giving it a badass bullbar too. Gives the car more balance. And looks brutal. Edit - gunmetal, black and... (a touch of the right shade of) blue of course! |

A middle grey or a mix to have a dark blue grey. Not sure about the gun metal. It is a metalic paint. Not good with matt ones. Better dark and middle grey.
You can use middle sky blue too. Like marine camo. |

Biggest military (and other) paint expert I know gave me some tips too...
Just gunmetal and Nato black should give a nice result (if I do it right).
