True enough, you can compensate for that by varying hardness with springs and oil too.

Edit - and spacers or other shock adjustability (threaded ring)...

Have a formula for this? ;)

The magic formula's that it's gotta look and feel right. :silly:

Can this Hummer be hopped up more? That seems to be retorical in this topic.
It's not my fault though, it waterbok's. He keeps telling me about cool upgrades. :silly:

I had locked the rear with an inverted (fourth) gear in the diff :

Gonna be way cooler (and tighter) now... an official Tamiya spool diff :

The car ran today! That was a nice mini meeting, I'll post a video later. :)
Gotta say it's quite capable off road (not like the CR-01 though).
Point of attention on the car - the shell becomes loose easily on the front. Gotta fix that...

They look cool but how do they work exactly?
Problem is the front shock tower has too much flex to go back and forth...
If I fix it in place (somehow), the clamps on the shell won't slide off anymore.

Guess what...
I'm gonna partially rebuild it anyway (remove a kilo of sand as well).
Got some nice new screws and a few more bits for detailing, like nuts and spacers, coming in.

B)

It drives lovely btw, that CR-Tuned really is a good match.

Edit - I may have to make the rear shock tower more rigid also (or find another way to mount the body on the front)...

Immediate action was taken. :)
Made a stabiliser for the rear shock tower :

Tapped a reinforced adjuster for that (I like that is says Tamiya) :

And measured out the correct length, made a 3mm threaded rod and a piece of hollow carbon to go over that for the looks :

Working on improvements for the front as well. :cheer:
