Good to see some of the cars on the shelf Silvertriple.  I need to put wider shelves up for mine, now I have started building the others. I will be 5, possibly 6 cars up on the old pic,

EDIT: Oh I forgot  the wpl c24, parts for a 2nd c24 and parts for 1/10 scale Crawler

It never ends lol

Trying to figure out how to do led buckets for the Lunchbox lexan bodies...


This is lenses container. I have a lot sitting around. That should do it, although it is a bit big.
Plan is the following:
  • drill a 5mm hole in the center so led can fit perfectly
  • paint them with Liquid Chrome molotov markers
  • glue them with hot glue inside the body shell
  • position a led and glue it inside the lens
  • and that should work
Results within the next few days...

I'll do a thread for it when it will be ended but I already am in love with this vw. Except the body posts wich are really too soft and unacceptable for tamiya oem....

Prototype light buckets drilled and chrome applied. Took about... 5 minutes...


I will let dry for few hours and get to next steps today evening or tomorrow...

I couldn't wait to see the final result and did not resist to upgrade my Lunchbox body with the light buckets..


And the result is beyond my expectations...

Yes Lee the molotov chrome liquid pens are awesome. On lexan and abs same paper .
I Rechrome lb parts and chromed the combi bumpers
